Jorge Luis Borges - Dreamtigers - University of Texas Press 1964 - First Edition, 1st Impression

First edition in English, first printing.
The author's favourite and most personal of his works, Borges considered Dreamtigers as "his book, the book most likely, in his opinion, to be remembered when all the rest are forgotten" (introduction, p. 10). This collection of poetry and prose was originally published as El Hacedor ("The Maker") in 1960. Octavo.

Featuring a double-page woodcut of a tiger, in black and brown, as frontispiece, 2 chapter titles with woodcut illustration of tall grass, and woodcut tiger device on colophon, all by Antonio Frasconi.
