Small 4to. Second edition reproducing Beardsley's drawings, but the first to reproduce the complete suite of his drawings (Mason 355). The present edition is enriched with additional illustrations compared to that of 1894, a preface by Robert Ross, the publisher's catalogue at the back, and a double-page, tab-mounted facsimile of the list of roles for the first English performance (10 May 1905).

CONDITION REPORT

Green linen boards stamped on the front side in gilt with a design by Beardsley. Externally in good, presentable condition. Wear and some marking and light staining to boards and spine. Bumping to extremities.
Gilded top edge. Spotting and tanning to text block.
Binding ever-so-slightly fragile with a couple of sporadic breaks; no loose pages. Significant tanning to prelims, but only mild foxing throughout. Some small marking, but illustrations in great condition.

Before shipping, the book will be placed in a sleeve of archival quality to protect its boards for the future (easily removable if desired).
