Agatha Christie - They Came to Baghdad - Collins Crime Club 1951 - First Edition

A first UK edition, first impression of Agatha Christie's adventure novel, They Came to Baghdad, missing its original dust wrapper.

The book was inspired by Christie's own trips to Baghdad with her second husband, archaeologist Sir Max Mallowan, and is also one of few Christie novels belonging to the action and spy fiction genres, rather than to mysteries and whodunnits.

Condition Report

Publisher's original cloth binding. Lightly marked. Spine slightly discoloured. Lightly edgeworn. Bumping to head and tail of spine, and corners.

Binding is closer to tight than loose; a handful of strains within, however pages are attached.

Some spotting and light earmarks within.

Previous owner's inscription on FFEP,  but no other inscriptions and/or marginalia.

Content is clean, legible and the book is complete.
