  5. Up for sale here are antique beads made in Europe for the North American and Canadian trapper/trade markets. They were prized by indigenous peoples for their sky blue shades, and these are very bright translucent examples, almost kingfisher blue.

  7. Lovely, satin matte finish that comes with age and much handling, they have great patina which I have tried to show in the photos. It is to be appreciated in circulated beads of their age.

    The pony beads are associated with the Hudson Bay trading post and there is much information about their fascinating history on the internet.
