Large sterling silver pepper shaker,

pepperette, pepper pot.

Big enough to be a pounce pot -

it’s the right shape but the holes 

would be bigger.

 

(Rubbed) Birmingham hallmarks for

1901

 

Makers mark is rubbed too and

might be EH or FH – not sure.

Have included a group photo of items we 

have listed to give a better sense of scale

 for each item.

 

CONDITION

 

In very good antique condition

with few signs of age or use

other than the hallmarks are

rubbed so it has been cleaned

a lot over the years.

 

It’s not in ‘brand new’ condition and

has general age related surface

marks and very light body indentations

overall but actually could be hammer

 marks from the silversmith.

 

But there aren’t any dents as such.

 

If I had to rate it out of 10 I’d give

it a  8.5- 9.
