The last glory of the Honda V4 - this is the second issue of our feature on Honda's RVF/RC45 superbike, following issue 63. The last issue featured the '94-'97 models, and this issue focuses on the '98 and '99 models.' 98 model eliminated the pro-arm, which had been used for 13 years as the signature technology symbolizing Honda's endurance racing, and adopted a new double-sided swingarm. In addition, the '99 model, the final model, adopted a semi-dry sump system to improve engine performance, including higher output. The '97 model is also included for comparison, and the story of the three consecutive Suzuka 8 Hours championships from 1997 to 1999 is depicted, as well as the reasons why the two-sided swingarm was adopted. This is a book that thoroughly explains the final model RVF/RC45, of which not much information has been published until now and its actual condition has been largely unknown.
