 German painter, sculptor, and graphic artist.


 Designed surrealist paintings and sensual sculptures.

 Created paintings with references to mythological legends.

 In addition to prints, he also works with many oil paintings.

 Attempted to fuse the images of photographer Karin Jekesi with pictorial imagery,

Biography

 Born in Germany in 1927.

After serving in the army during World War II, he studied at the Hamburg Art School.

 1949: Produced his first lithographs while still in school.

     Held a solo exhibition in Lübeck in the same year.

 1951 Graduates from the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts.

 From 1951 to 1960, he taught lithography at his alma mater and exhibited his work.

 In 1960, he received the German Prize at the Mannheim Youth Print Exhibition, attracting attention.

 From 1960 to 1963, he worked in Paris.

 From 1963 to 1968, he was a professor at the Hamburg Art School.

     1963-68 as a professor at the Hamburg School of Fine Arts, again teaching younger students.

 In 1964, he participated in Documenta 3 in Kassel.

 Around 1965, he began to use the nude photographs taken by his wife Karin, who is also a photographer, as material for lithographs and paintings.
