This is an original press photo. Kenneth Vail, still barefooted - The barefoot boy was lifted with shoes today. Police, who found him, asked no blessings on him, like the hero of the famous poem. Instead they booked him and a companion with attempted burglary. They said the barefoot lad had left the shoes behind when running away. The barefoot boy was Kenneth Vail, 17, of 2433 Milan. Booked with him was James Joseph, 16, of 232 S. Miro.Photo measures 5.75 x 10.25inches. Photo is dated 6-6-1957.
