EARLY PETER MARSH PM SIGNED COLOURED ROCK GLASS PENDANT COTTAGE LAMP MID-CENTURY

A nice example of the Peter Marsh pendant cottage-type lantern, ideal for a porch or hallway. It has the initials PM stamped into one corner of the roof, and the well-preserved steel body appears to have a lacquered finish that gives it a pewter-like hue.
The metalwork seems to have greater attention to detail than some later examples, and I'd guess that it dates to the early 50s. The coloured glass rocks range in size from huge to tiny, and there are interesting variations in colour and texture- one piece is red and white.
You can see that some pieces have cracks in them but they remain firmly in place- I did (epoxy) glue one piece to hold it steady as it rattled in its socket. There are some old scuffs to protruding areas of glass, but these aren't obvious.
The bulb holder has been removed- just the old bakelite socket and securing ring remain: you may be able to re-use these, or just replace them.
I've added a pic of the inside with the securing screws in place, including one undone so that you can see it. They're a bit fiddly to screw in but I'm pretty sure that they're original to the lamp- they'd clearly been in place for a long time and were slightly corroded, but I've cleaned them up.
The lamp 10" high excluding the hook, and the roof is 6" square.
It can be posted, carefully packed, for £14, or collected / delivered in the Derby area- it isn't at Heanor antiques centre, by the way, although it's always well worth a visit...

Please study the photo's carefully for the best description, and do ask if you have any queries...
