Here is a vintage garden rotovator made by Howard - the Bantam model.

This one is fitted with the rare Villiers Mk15 Over Head Valve 150cc 4-stroke engine - much more powerful than the standard engine.

We used to use this regularly - until a neighbours tree branch was accidentally felled on it - which broke the carburettor off at the cylinder head.

Prior to this incident it had just been overhauled - including adjustments, tines, lubrication, new rubber induction pipe, etc.

The head could be welded, or a replacement head found on ebay (last one went for £20).

We have a tractor attachment now - so the Bantam is no longer needed, and hence being sold for spares or repairs.

Broken up for spares, the engine alone would fetch around £100.
