Japanese knitting yarn ITO Kinu is a 100% silk noil yarn, also called organic silk, as it is produced from the leftovers of spun filament silk. Differently colored fibers are blended for this silk noil yarn, to produce a melange effect, which in some colours looks like silk tweed. Kinu is an all-purpose silk yarn - for sportive as well as for elegant wear. Knit it single (I would recommend a double strand for summer tops and blouses) or multistranded. It can be also knitted together with silk mohair yarn, for example, with a wonderful and extremely soft silk mohair yarn ITO Sensai, which can be also found on my Etsy shop. ITO Kinu with ITO Sensai creates a perfect pair and results in a beautiful, elegant, soft and lightweight knitwear with a slight halo. Enjoy its pleasant feel.

ITO is Japanese word for yarn or thread. ITO – Fine Yarn from Japan are special yarns, produced in Japan, a country with a long tradition in textiles.
