This Listing is for ONE NEW Plate Block Strip of 5 Recreational Sports 32¢ Stamps from 1995.

Mint. MNH. No flaws. Original undisturbed gum. From a Smoke-free and Pet-free Environment.

The U.S. Postal Service issued these 32¢ Recreational Sports commemorative gummed stamps on May 20, 1995 in Jupiter, FL - celebrating the American spirit of sportsmanship, with 5 designs by the artist Don Weller of Park City, UT.

From a weekend bowling league tournament to a summertime volleyball game at the beach, recreational sports provide an opportunity for exercise, social outings and fun for millions of Americans. Volleyball, softball and bowling have their roots in the United States, while golf was imported from Scotland and tennis from England. Three of the five stamps specifically commemorate the 100th anniversaries of the invention of volleyball, the development of golf's national championships, and the establishment of the American Bowling Congress.
