Breathtaking original Murano glass Vase

Made of artful thick glass in red yellow and white color

Works in the "Sommerso" style (submerged style), similar to the one shown here, are occasionally attributed to the artist, Flavio Poli, under contract to the maker Seguso, Vetri d'Arte. However, many other manufacturers in the Murano region made pieces in exactly the same style at exactly the same period. Other than Seguso, first-rate manufacturers known to have produced objects in the "Sommerso" style include Mandruzzato, Luigi Onesto, Formia, and Oball.

It is fitting perfect in modern interior and will look beautiful on a Teak Sideboard

Highly decorative & collectible

Murano glass, created by hand on the Venetian island of Murano, is a tradition that dates back to the 13th century. Murano’s glassmakers were consistently in the forefront of the art, developing or refining many sophisticated genres, among them crystalline glass, enameled glass (smalto), glass with threads of gold (aventurine), multicolored glass batons imbedded in clear crystal (millefiori), milk glass (lattimo), and imitation glass gemstones. Glass making is still a vital and lively domain and the principal activity on that magical isle. Today, the expert artisans of Murano are evolving not only venerable techniques, but inventing yet others, crafting everything from vitrine pieces, or utilitarian decorative objects such as candlesticks, tableware and multi-colored chandeliers, to contemporary works of art.
