JUST WITH ONE SLIGHT FLAW. THE SETTING LEVER SPRING IS BROKEN SO ALTHOUGH THE TIME CAN BE SET IT IS FIDDLY AND THE STEM HAS TO BE HELD OUT MANUALLY TO ALLOW THE TIME TO BE SET.

CASE:

This is a beautiful and rare 3 piece genuine hinged back and bezel ROLEX solid 9 carat yellow gold watch case. The case is in very good lightly aged age related condition. The back shows some age related light marks but no dents that I can see to the eye (see pics) The case sides are good. The bezel is also in good condition. The beautiful solid 9 CARAT gold wire lugs are excellent. The inside of the case is fully hallmarked for 9 CARAT gold (Glasgow Assay office) and has the date mark for 1923 (although the letter is slightly rubbed) and the W&D (Wilsdorf & Davis the founders of ROLEX) mark for the ROLEX WATCH CO. The case measures approximately 2.3cms across excluding the lugs and crown.

DIAL:

This is a wonderful restored bright white ROLEX signed dial. The dial is in very good condition showing just a few tiny spots. All of the black painted stylised Arabic numerals are nice. The dial itself is in excellent condition. The crystal is a brand new plastic replacement. It is minty condition.

MOVEMENT:

This is a wonderful clean genuine ROLEX ‘Standard’ quality 15 jewel movement. It is fully signed 'ROLEX' and 'Swiss Made' etc in beautiful type set. This fantastic ROLEX MOVEMENT in working order and is running. I have timed it over 24 hours and it keeps time to within approx 3 mins per day. It winds as it should. It does set BUT THE SETTING LEVER SPRING IS BROKEN SO THE STEM HAS TO BE MANUALLY HELD OUT TO SET THE TIME. The crown is gold in color, is unsigned, a little worn and may be a later replacement. As always a full service will be required for optimum performance, timekeeping and continued operation and you buy the watch knowing this and agreeing. All in all this is a beautiful ROLEX  original movement.

BAND:

There is a lovely lightly worn reddish-brown leather band. It is in very good condition and has hardly been worn. The watch and band measure approx 8 inches in total length
