**** In order to comply with international shipping regulations, we are unable to ship gas and flints (igniter stones).
Buyers are requested to provide their own gas and flints. Always use gases and flints manufactured by DuPont.
* There are four types of gas for both old and new DuPont lighters.
It is possible to use commercially available gases other than the indicated gases; however, the use of commercially available gases that contain high levels of impurities may cause malfunctions. All DuPont gases are made of the same gas material, but each has a different gas inlet shape. The shape is classified according to the screw (shape) of the gas inlet of each model. If you are forced to use a different shape, you may bend the gas inlet or damage it, so please be sure to use genuine gas.
** There are two types of flints (ignition stones).
Please use the flint (ignition stone) that is specifically designed for the use of your lighter. Use of other stones may make it difficult to ignite the flint or deteriorate the file used to sharpen the stone. Flints that are too soft may also cause clogging.
*** Lid opening/closing sound (reverb).
DuPont's manufacturer has publicly stated that the sound produced when the lid opens and closes is accidental. It is not designed or manufactured to produce sound. Therefore, some make sound and some do not. Please understand that it is not possible to adjust or repair the sound.
**** About the decorative panel (board) on the back of the lid.
The board screwed to the inside of the top lid of the main unit is called a "decorative board. It is used to hide the rough hollowing out of the brass and does not affect the ignition at all. Please note that the screws may loosen with continued use due to the reaction of opening and closing.
