Description

COLLECTOR QUALITY; INVESTMENT QUALITY; Important Gigantic Museum Quality Navajo MARY DAYEA 5 Nuggets Gem Grade MORENCI TURQUOISE Cuff Bracelet with RARE GEM GRADE MORENCI SOLID TURQUOISE WITH SOLID IRON PYRITE THUNDER MATRIX in the Stone; The scalloped and stamped bezel showcases the incredible turquoise and incredible silverwork throughout the piece is breathtaking workmanship.

The cuff is solid heavy gauge sterling silver with a classic twisted sterling rope border overlaid with an inner border of intricate raised silver wing motifs tightly surrounding the stones.

The massive sterling silver bezel holding the turquoise slab is “scalloped” in design with hand stamping, straight edge bezel with twisted roping all around the perimeter; original patina to the silver; which is preferred by collectors. This statement cuff weighs a considerable 77.8 grams; The piece contains Mary Dayea Hallmark on the Back Center double stamped. As well as an etched code "4EXM" and what appears to be the symbol for pi.

This is a very hard glossy polished "gemstone"; with a dark black and golden matrix; a very serene pool of light robins egg blue with hues of green from the right angles; with scarce, but deep and tight lightning rod designed natural matrix of iron pyrite. The stone is a hard natural gem appearing completely untreated. SO GRAND IN PERSON. HARD TO CAPTURE THE TRUE BEAUTY OF THIS BRACELET WITH A CAMERA.

As collectors of old pawn natural turquoise jewelry are discovering, it is becoming more difficult to acquire jewelry of this size and workmanship. Most of the turquoise mines are now depleted and closed and less and less fine quality old pawn turquoise jewelry is coming to the open market; except through old stock and personal collections.
