SPECTACULAR VICTORIAN

STERLING SILVER & FAUX

CITRINE SPINNER PENDANT

Sterling Silver antique fob watch chain

Citrine (paste) spinner fob seal.

The quite rare fob seal is adorned with

a lucky horseshoe motif at the top.

It is fully hallmarked for:

Birmingham 1900

and makers stamp:

TJS

Thomas James Skelton

Vyse St, Birmingham.

The silver hallmarks website has

him down from 1903 to 1915 so this

is a very early example of his work.

The citrine is probably paste but there

aren’t any bubbles in it that I could

see and very little wear to the edges

as you get with most glass versions

so it is possibly real but not tested.

This impressive Spinner will look

great on a normal chain as a necklace

for a ‘horsey’ lady or attached to a

fob watch chain for a gentleman

to wear as it was intended.

Have hung it on a chain for the

photos but the chain is not included-

it’s just a chrome chain anyway so

has no value (I just need it to

hang silver bits off it).

++++++

The porcelain hand in the photos is

not life size – more like 2/3 the scale

of a woman’s hand.

Any boxes or display stands in

photos are not included in the

listing unless specifically stated.

CONDITION

In very good antique/vintage condition

with a few signs of age and use.

The citrine coloured ‘stone’ has

some light surface scratches

and the odd edge nibble but

compared to most it is in

really great antique condition.

DIMENSIONS

Spinner frame is approx.

3cm (1 1/8") wide

‘Citrine’ is 2.3cm (7/8") wide

It Weighs: 9.0 grams
