Very nice and rare item.

The ship has an interesting history, most notably the following... 

Singapore bound, from Bangkok, with two thousand Indian troops on board, MV HIGHLAND BRIGADE, former Royal Mail luxury liner, struck a mine off Singapore in the early morning of 18 January 1946. Landing craft, launches and five tugs were dispatched from Singapore in answer to distress signals intimating that the vessel was in danger of sinking. Landing ship SANSOVINO, trooping 2nd Battalion West Yorks Regiment from Soerabaja also went to the assistance of the HIGHLAND BRIGADE and with the aid of her own landing craft, transhipped 110 Indian troops. The HIGHLAND BRIGADE, whose sister ship the HIGHLAND PATRIOT was lost early in the war was towed into Singapore harbour.

Minimal expected wear for an item of its age as in the images. England made and with a registered design.

Approx 9.3cm x 7.7cm, the ideal size for bank cards as in the image.
