On offer today is a most wonderful mid 19th Century Silver Hallmarked William IV Soup Ladle. Assayed in London.

It is dated 1834-year letter t. Has a maker's mark for premier flatware maker William Chawner.

A splendid hefty ladle of very large size.

Pattern is Kings Honeysuckle double struck. Diamond heel. Has unusual leaf pattern decoration.  

Length is 13.25 inches. A massive serving piece.

Hallmarks are deep and clear. Its weight is a sublime 322 grams (10.35 troy ounces) and this piece is made of very thick gauge silver throughout. It is in terrific condition. Has an unworn rim.

Nice pattern and very rare!! 

Comes engraved with a wonderful crest to the front and is a quite magnificent serving piece.
