Sorry - no bidders outside the UK mainland - unless you have someone here who can receive the item.

Alternatively - use ebays Global Shipping Program - but the buyer will need to set this up with ebay before bidding.

Please feel free to make a sensible offer through ebays 'Make an Offer' option.

Here is what I believe to be a very old payment token - probably dating from the mid-Victorian era.

These were issued by factory owners to their workers as payment for labour.

They could only be spent in the factory shop!

Very thin. Text around the edge says 'WILLIAMS BROTHERS Ltd - DIRECT SUPPLY STORES

  • John & Alfred Williams from Sheerness in Kent founded their business in 1872
  • The first shop was in the Caledonian Road , Islington, London

  • It fell out of an old desk being broken for firewood years ago. Not many of these around these days.

I have tried to show the items condition in the pictures - please view all of the images.

Sold as is - a collectors item - no guarantee given or implied

    I will post signed-for.

Sorry - no bidders outside the UK mainland - unless you have someone here in the UK who can receive the item.

My postage charge includes the cost of materials I may have to buy to post, and ebays commission they levy on seller postage. The cost is not just the price on the package.

I will not accept returns, unless I have badly mis-described something.

I am a private seller  disposing of a lifetimes collection of house and garage contents, etc, etc -  now down-sized to a much smaller property.

Please watch for my other auctions - its all got to go.

    Any questions - please ask.
