An easy to install upgrade to your aftermarket top mount intercooler (MTC, Airtec, Direnza, GTT, OEM and others). ABS based 3D printed construction for enhanced strength and under bonnet levels of heat resistance.

Developed utilising computational fluid dynamics modelling tools, the fins have been designed to direct more air flow from the bonnet scoop through the intercooler vanes, rather than flowing over the top, improving the cooling effect on intake air temps. Allowing peak power & torque to be maintained for longer. Ideal for track prepared and fast road R53 & R52 Cooper S Minis.

Data from CFD simulation and real world testing shows the intake air temperature reductions to be gained with one and two diverter fins fitted. Based on an R53 equipped with a 21% reduced pulley supercharger, 10 degC drop in IAT’s were recorded with a single fin installed and a further 3 degC drop in IAT’s with a 2nd Dam Air fin. This yields a healthy improvement to both steady state and peak IAT’s as well as reducing recovery time from heat soaked conditions, allowing your engine to continue producing peak torque and power.

Installation takes just 5 minutes and involves lining up and inserting the 3 location pins into your intercooler vanes after cleaning down the surface with the provided alcohol wipe, allowing for the VHB tape to adhere to the intercooler.
