size is approximately 2 1/2' wide x 2' tall but there is a yardstick in the photo for scale.
NOTE--because I have never seen any other examples of this sign, I can only say I believe it to be complete but am not 100% sure since I have no reference to compare it to. The shape is unusual and at times asymmetrical but it is likely the sign is complete.
TEXT SECTION-- this sign will come with #6 (not all) of the text sections shown in the last 2 pics. They are separate pieces and I am going to contact a friend in Denmark to see if they can decode which one goes with which sign.
#6 says "My secret letter has 9 small dots - Guess it, old ......... it will cheer you up lots!"
Danish culture - it is an old springtime tradition to give a piece of paper cut into pretty designs with a little rhyme and signed with dots instead of the letters in your name. A snowdrop is also included, which is why it is literally called a "snowdrop letter" - gækkebrev, though it's another pun, because "gække" also means to be silly and tricky. If the receiver correctly guesses who it's from, the sender has to give them a chocolate Easter egg. The other way around, of course, if they don't guess. This is mainly done by children today, and you always pretend not to be able to guess.
CONDITION---will have some remnants of clear tape from being previously displayed otherwise colors are rich and unfaded, may also have archival tape reinforcement on the reverse to weak areas
COMBINED SHIPPING ?
YES...I can do this but ONLY If you follow the below instructions.
To be clear, "combined shipping" is when you buy 3 items, for example, each with a shipping charge of $8, but since I can ship all 3 in the same box, you get charged $10-12 instead of $24.
I cannot "combine shipping" after you have already paid.
1) DO NOT USE the cel phone app ! If you do, EBAY will force immediate payment and charge you full shipping on each item. I will not refund your money if this happens.
2) You must log into EBAY with a browser (Chrome, Safari etc) on your phone, computer or laptop to avoid this.
3) Put all items in your Cart and then, while in your Cart, click the "Request Total" link. "Request Total" will not be visible if you click "Checkout" under your Cart icon. You must click "View Cart" under your Cart icon. The URL should say cart.ebay.com
Because EBAY and PAYPAL have made partial refunds so complicated, I will no longer be refunding $ if you do not follow these instructions.
