Early studio piece taken from Chinese design.  In place of a Taotei mask, lion heads have been applied to the vase on each side. Yellow mustard slip, much like paint, is applied to the vase which was handmade during the 1950s-1960s time period.  Vase was thrown on a wheel and then the heads and design added afterwards.
