In 2023, to continue the Great Engravers of the United Kingdom Collection, the Royal Mint released the fifth coin in the series a special Limited Issue Thomas Simon Petition Crown Arms £5 Five Pound Silver Proof Coin struck in solid Fine .999 Silver weighing two ounces of pure Silver Certified Slabbed and Graded by PCGS as PR69 DCAM First Strike with special NFC Anti-Counterfeiting Technology.
The Petition Crown designed by Thomas Simon features a crowned cruciform shields, of England, Scotland, Ireland and France, with the order of the Garter at the centre. There are two C's interlinked in each angle, emblems in angles while the obverse depicts the First Portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings and a raised edge inscription of "THOMAS SIMON · MOST · HVMBLY · PRAYS · YOVR MAJESTY TO · COMPARE · THIS· HIS · TRYALL · PIECE · WITH · THE · DVTCH · AND · IF · MORE" and "TRVLY · DRAWN & EMBOSS'D · MORE · GRACE: FVLLY · ORDER'D · AND · MORE · ACCVRATELY · ENGRAVEN · TO · RELEIVE · HIM·" etched over two lines.
