LARGE VICTORIAN
CRANBERRY GLASS
ENAMELLED JUG
A
big beautiful piece of
Victorian
Cranberry glass.
Three
photos were taken
inside
and make it look
more
like ruby glass but
it
is definitely a pinky red
rather
than ruby red.
Hand
painted enamel flowers
adorn
it all the way around
the
body.
Probably
English made in the
1880s
or 90s.
Ground
pontil underneath
and
lots of natural scratching
around the perimeter of the base
where
you would expect that
shows it has real age.
This
detail is usually missing
on
the reproduction pieces.
You
can't fake this - well,
not
successfully anyway.
Great
tactile and impressive
piece
of Victorian glass.
CONDITION
In excellent antique condition
with no chips or cracks and
only minor wear to the
hand painted decoration.

It measures approx:
18.5 cm to top of handle (7 1/4")
by 14 cm (5 1/2") wide
