I had the opportunity to buy the leftover printings' of this very special book and CD-ROM after the death of Marcus Newhall, I am very lucky to be able to sell such a wonderful resource and keep it available to the public.

With a foreword by Professor Sylva Petrova, the Director of the International Institute for Research in Glass, this large, full-colour hardback book is the definitive study of post-WW2 Czechoslovakian pressed glass, and includes a data disk containing copies of some 16 catalogues and a searchable database of over 4,500 patterns and designs of items from the factories working under the Sklo Union umbrella from 1945 to the 1990's.
  1. The book is the product of more than ten years of research by Marcus Newhall, during which time the author made several visits to the Czech Republic. The book used the larger part of a reference collection built by the author. This gave a unique opportunity for Simon Bruntnell, one of Britain's foremost glass photographers, to photograph every object in detail to provide a permanent reference for collectors and historians.
