Antique cast iron woodstove / wood stove teapot or kettle. The lid is marked S. Spoor's. PAT. 1869 0-25, kettle is marked Troy N.Y. Has a hand forged handle. It is painted black on the outside. Inside is dirty with water stains. The mark is for Stephan Spoor's Stove Furniture and was made by the Foxell & Jones foundry in Troy NY. The lid has three holes, I do not know if it was for venting or a handle, but the very few I seen when researching had the same holes. Size from spout end to pot back is 9 1/2" x 7" wide x 6 1/2" tall. It weighs 5 pounds 4 ounces. It has NO chips, cracks or repairs. #5-8p
