Please read all info about state shipping restrictions.  Due to agriculture regulations to prevent the spread of Japanese beetles we do not ship to the following states, no exceptions.   I have added some new states I don't ship to:  TX, MS, AL,  AR in addition to CA, OR, WA, ID, NV, AZ, UT,  NM, MT, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK,  or outside the contiguous  US.

This gorgeous rose is a strong grower to 3' to  6'.   The large blooms are very rounded in shape and are a beautiful deep burgundy red.  There is a mild tea fragrance.   Leaves are dark and glossy.   It was introduced by Tantau in Germany in 2007.  It blooms in flushes.

I added pictures of an example of  a typical plant I sell.   This is not the exact plant you will receive...it's just to get an idea of approximate plant size.  Some will be branched and some won't,  some  will be taller,  some slightly shorter.   In the last picture you can see some brown at the base of the stem which  I mention can happen and  which I think is due to normal cane ageing.

The plant you are bidding on is a small own-root plant raised from a cutting.  Most of my plants were rooted in the previous year and are sturdy, with  a fairly dense but small rootball that would fit in your hand. They are leafed out and ready to grow.  They do best potted up in gallon pots on arrival and grown on awhile before planting in the garden.   They range from about 5"  tall to 10" and may or may not be branched.   If you want more specific info about size please email me.   Some of my plants have some brown at the base of the stem which I consider harmless and seems to do with the stem ageing.  I take Paypal only.

I guarantee my plants to be true to name and that they will arrive in good condition.  Any complaints must be submitted within one week and accompanied by a picture.   I don't guarantee how the plants will do in your garden as there are many factors beyond my control.   Please be aware that  rose blooms often  improve as a plant matures.   Blooms can  improve in size,  petal count,  color,  fragrance,  and overall shape.   I start my auctions at a price I think is fair.   The amount they are bid up is strictly up to the bidders.

Shipping is priced per box of one to four plants and is $13.    I ship priority so usually plants arrive in two or three days.  I offer a two week window to combine on shipping.  If you win  a plant one week,  you are free to bid on my listings the following week if you want to fill a box.  But please send me an email if you want to bid the next week.   Otherwise if you pay for your plant I will send it on to you.   I don't always see people's bids for the following week so  it's best to communicate if you want me to hold plants.

I  ship Mon-Wed for the welfare of the plants.  If you want your plant sent Monday please pay for it  before Sunday afternoon because I process plants for shipping a day in advance so leaves have time to dry.  Shipping is first come first served.   Plants will be sent without pots,  with roots wrapped in damp paper and enclosed in a plastic bag.  This method works well to insure plants stay well hydrated.  Usually there is no problem shipping in hot weather as plants are well hydrated but it is a good idea for someone to be home to receive plants on arrival so the box doesn't sit in the sun.  If you are having freezing weather please ask to delay shipping. Can delay  a few weeks.   In my ebay listings it'll say  I ship within ten days or so but  that is to  allow time for  the two week shipping " window".   I usually ship plants as quickly as possible the Monday -Wed  after the auctions end.  Payment is due within three days of the end of the auction.   I  may relist your plant if it is not paid for within three days.

PLEASE , IF YOU HAVE AN EBAY FEEDBACK RATING LESS THAN 20 BID ON ONLY ONE ROSE TO START,  NOT MULTIPLE AUCTIONS UNTIL TRUST IS ESTABLISHED.  THANK YOU.

Usually I list plants every Sat. afternoon all summer and into fall but there may be some exceptions.  Plants will become available throughout the summer as  they grow big enough.    Our nursery is licensed and inspected by the state of NC.   All pictures are taken by me and are of plants and blooms growing in my garden.  Pictures are meant to show how the plant can grow and bloom and are not  intended to represent the exact plant that will be mailed to you.
PLants may do better or worse than what is shown in my pictures.   Please be aware of your hardiness zone so you will know if a plant is likely to survive in your garden.

All the roses I offer bred by David Austin are out of patent.  I must use their non-trademarked names.  The commercial names can be looked up.   A great resource for looking up additional information,  commercial names,  and pictures is www.helpmefind.com/roses.   Thank you for looking at my listings!  Please email me with any questions.
