Up for consideration is an interesting Victorian hanging Console table Shelf or chest. This unique piece makes sense as the parlor days were a bit congested and why not get something up on the wall. It measures about 25 inches in width by about 17 inches in height with a depth of about 11.5 inches. The piece is not perfect but it sure is good looking...like I said not everyone has floor space and of course this fits in nicely off the ground...you could actually go further and add a slab of marble on top and or add a distinctive yet proportional period mirror above. You decide. It also has the old obscure Knapp joint or coved dovetail that is now did I say extinct well I mean it was a machine that furniture manufacturers used for a bit during the last quarter of the 19th century.
