It was purchased in Palm Beach at Chanel on Worth Ave, for a special occasion and for some reason I did not like the way my arms looked in sleeveless at the time ( right after giving birth).
It was so beautiful that I kept it and thought I would wear it another time but never did. It has moved around the world with me and been in closets and storage and is truly too beautiful not to be worn and treasured by someone.
It is a timeless piece and has a low back with criss cross velvet straps and small gold buttons on the back. It has a classic and elegant silhouette and a pleated chiffon top and skirt separated by a drop waist velvet band.
It is light weight of course with the silk chiffon and has two quite high side slits. This allows beautiful movement and can be demure or show a lovely bit of leg if desired.
This makes it a very sophisticated dress and definitely with the side slits and the material a bit on the subtle yet alluring side.

***somehow the white size tag over 35 years of moving around and recently letting a friend try it on has come off somewhere as I don't see it.
