This auction is for an old document that was recently purchased from a local estate. It measures 7.6" x 5.75". The back is marked Jn Smith's Certificate of Citizenship and what looks like Jan ry 11. 

The letter reads " Atta of quarterly sessions held at the court house of the County of Princess Anne, the 7th day of January 1811 in the 35th year of the Commonwealth of Virginia, John Smith, a carpenter, a native from Scotland, with the appreciation of the court, took the oath of allegiance to the Commonwealth of Virginia, also to support the Constitution of the United States of America is admitted to become a citizen thereof, and ordered that the clerk certify the same accordingly", and it is signed by someone.
 
The letter shows wear with some discoloration and some fold lines.
