Harry Hamilton, graduate of both the Royal Military Academy and the Royal Military College crossed to France with the BEF August 29th 1914 with the ASC. A career soldier, he rose to the rank of Brigadier in WW2 and was Deputy Adjutant & Quartermaster-General Home Forces 1943-45 responsible for planning the logistics for D Day and beyond. For this he received the CBE.
