M   Mint The record and cover is like new or truly new
EX Excellent Few signs of wear, slight deterioration in sound quality. The cover is slightly worn.
VG VeryGood Small scratches, slight noise may occur. The cover may have tears, but is still usable.
G Good The record has lost quality. Has severe scratches. The cover shows damage.
F Fair The record is just about playable, but with a very strong loss of quality. Practically only archival value. The cover is very badly damaged.
W Worn At this quality level, the bad records start. They are played above average. Scratches and noise are clearly audible. The cover of this quality is badly damaged, often torn or very dirty.
