Written to "My dear sir" (Probably Edward Gully, Secretary to the Speaker of the House of Commons).

"I desire to be present at the funeral of Mr Gladstone. I shall be glad if you will let me have a ticket of admission. If sent off on Thursday afternoon. Please address to Headingley Lodge, Leeds. If not sent off on Thursday please retain it in your office when I will call for it on Saturday Morning. I am yours ???? T R Leuty".
