Folks, sooner or later - Genealogists are going to realize that their family kinfolks are laying on some dealer's dusty shelves. If I can contribute to finding one little name or photo of that long lost ancestor you have been waiting to find, - its worth all the time I spend.

Following my retirement, I have dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the Genealogy of our western pioneers. During my research, I discovered that thousands of our kin-folks lay unfound and unrecognized on some book dealer's shelf. See index below.

I hope you appreciate the effort.

FREDERICK MARRIOTT AND THE STEAM "AVITOR", by GEORGE E. WRIGHT, JR.

Here is a fabulous untold, unread and seldom found early aviation story entitled 'FREDERICK MARRIOTT AND THE STEAM AVITOR". Seems that Frederick MARRIOTT lived two lives. One, in England as the respected publisher of the Illustrated London News and, as a whim looking for excitement and riches. a smattering of knowledge about early aviation. In those years, a London inventor had approached him with a hair-brained scheme to powere a balloon with a steam engine and climb into the sky. The effort failed but when he tired of the publishing business in London, he travelled to the west coast of California in search of gold. Giving up on that unpaying search, he established a banking business. Successful, he was again presented an opportunity to "fly" and this is the story of his effort to successfully manipulate a steam driven aircraft. This is brief historical note of his efforts to fly some 30 years before the Wright Brothers. Very informative history.

HOW I LOVE THIS OLD AVIATION HISTORY.

What a story Rare Story!!! Great Picture. You will love it as it was published in this old western magazine of many years ago. The issue is in excellent condition, the cover is pristine and in vibrant color.
