What can we say? Splendid? Exemplary? Fine, delicate design--tiny floral designs executed in silk and sculpted pile. Soft pastel sea foam, sky, blush and grapefruit. Safffron, bronze and teal. Lavender, jade, raspberry, olive. Let's concentrate on the center medallion: the tiny central flower petals are ruby silk outlined in white and gray silk. Then a soft mocha wool edged in black, then warm gray wool and white silk. Then we arrive at the gorgeous silk inlay in a nutmeg or pink grapefruit, depending on the pile and knap and lighting. After a pale natural silk ribbon there is an evening blue that leads to the blush wool that itself is surrounded by the stunning saffron silk. Incredible. And there is more detail--to much to describe..
This rug is so nice, they made it twice! Double the beauty, double the fun. So much still to be discovered. Everything we've come to expect from the great Tabriz rug houses.
No conditions to reveal. These rugs were hanging on the wall when we acquired them. Some dust of ages has settled into fringes but otherwise Mint condition.
