A fine, handmade embroidery in a beautiful stylized lotus pattern with butterflies, hand-stitched on a silk ground, probably made for use as the cuff of a sleeve for a robe.  

The condition is very good.  We see noticeable fading to the color of the silk, especially the reds and pinks.
