This is an interesting and surprisingly large 3½” x 3½” card that was given free with a purchase of Lord Neilson Cream – probably from an ice cream van – in the mid-late 1960s. It is from a set titled Lord Nielson’s Star Cards, and each of the cards features a colour photo of a top pop star / band of the day on the front. The back has 8-10 lines of text about that act and at the bottom it is stated that it is ‘An exclusive series presented in association with Disc and Music Echo’ and that it is ‘Empire Printed’. The card is in perfect clean condition with no rips, creases or grubby marks of any kind.
