Description

The AKARI series of "light sculptures" was created by Isamu Noguchi over a period of 35 years starting in 1951.

The rounded, spindle-shaped silhouette with a diameter of about 29 cm is wrapped with bamboo strands at even intervals.

A slightly larger version of the same design, 23A, is also available. All AKARI shades are handcrafted by artisans, and the finished product is stamped with the AKARI logo.
