The figurine was created by Unterweissbach, a Thuringian porcelain manufacturer (hallmark from period 1958-1976). The company was founded in 1882 by Hermann Jost and initially created only kitchenware of an extremely high quality. In 1890 the company was purchased by Rudolf Mann and Fritz Porzelius. During 20th century Unterweissbach was unified with renown Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur and later Schaubach. In 1950s company was nationalized and in 1990s became a part of Christian Seltmann group.
