For sale is an antique 3 piece silverplated EPNS tea service. The set includes a teapot, cream jug and a double handled sugar bowl. This set has a sleek, classic look with polished bodies and gilt interior to the cream and sugar. To the base each piece is stamped: HL&Co. G EPNS A1 737.

The teapot is engraved: Presented to Mr JD Lamont on the occasion of his marriage by the staff of Hairmyres Colony East Kilbride on the 17th November 1927.

The approximate measurements are:

Teapot - 16cm high, 12cm wide, 30.5cm spout to handle

Cream jug - 9.5cm high, 7cm wide, 14.5cm spout to handle

Sugar bowl - 11.5cm high, 9cm wide, 16.5cm handle to handle.

No splits or holes to the metal. Some surface scratches, marks and patina from age and use. Hinged lid works as it should.
