WW1 postcard of H.M. Hospital Ship “Nevasa” used headed On Active Service and posted home to Wood Green in London cancelled with a fine strike of the s/r TOTLAND-BAY 5 AU 15 datestamp.

Card is endorsed with blue crayon 1/2d initialled JG - (John Garlick th sub Post Master at Totland Bay) and in pencil has the message to Mother and Father signed Arthur. So likely to be 2643 Arthur A Wallis Royal Army Medical Corps, who joined the Army in 1914 from Wood Green London.

(I am not sure why the Nevasa would have stopped at the Isle of Wight unless this was to transfer patients to the Military Hospital at the Totland Bay Hotel)
