Vintage German Frankenthal Nymphenburg Lace Porcelain Figurine Set "Little Couple". 5"

Beautifully hand painted and decorated with delicate lace, pretty flowers and gold gildt.

Frankenthal Porcelain was founded in 1755 in the city of Frankenthal, Germany. The company was famous for its elaborate figurines. Frankenthal Porcelain flourished in the 18th century, and while various copies of the company’s original pieces have been issued, the company is no longer operating. The Napoleonic Wars brought an end to the business. Frankenthal was occupied by the French in 1794, who closed the porcelain factory down in 1799. Production had been lower since at least 1790, and models and moulds had been moved to Nymphenburg,  The company’s pieces are recognized by their arched bases and doll-like faces.

Excellent vintage condition, some lace loss as very common for all lace figurines. Age related wear. See pictures for details.
