Very Rare Pair of  Early Chinese (Qing Dynasty) Cloisonne Water Jugs (Water Vessels) decorated with Phoenix Birds, Clouds, and Floral Motif with revolving the outside of the vessel.  


These handled vessels are very rare, you don't often see them done in Cloisonné, typically they are done in porcelain. 


This was made in China during the Qing Dynasty (1644 to 1912


These are not Japanese, and I will explain why. The Ruyi upper border under the rim and the composition of the Phoenix Bird are done in a Chinese manner along with the lower cloud border. The bottom of the Vessels are done in the same manner as the old Qing Dynasty pieces, and lastly, The form of the vessels were done in a commonly made Chinese Water Jug Form, which is usually done in porcelain as i stated previously.

PLEASE NOTE: Overall the items are in fair condition and has normal and typical signs of wear from age including scratches, pitting, oxidation, patina, and enamel flaking. Due to age there may be random enamel losses and/or imperfections. The previous owner had inventory marks on the pieces, which is why the bottom has markings. These pieces present well, please see photos, these are sold as is.
