Item #5

Otodus is a very large extinct shark which lived from the Paleocene period to the Miocene period. The teeth of this shark are large with very sharp cutting edges. The fossils of Otodus indicate that it was a super predatory shark just like Megalodon.

The largest known teeth measure about 4.1 inches and the monster shark reached a maximum length of 40 feet long. Otodus likely preyed upon marine mammals, large bony fish, and other sharks. It was among the top predators of its time.
