Rogers & Smith New Haven Conn Silverplate Gargoyle Dish Bowl 1870's RARE Antique

DESCRIPTION: Offered is an antique butter dish or cheese ball server. It is marked Rogers & Smith New Haven Conn. This marker’s mark was used from 1862-1877. It is silver plated. The bowl features handles in the shape of gargoyle heads each clamping a bar of silver in their mouth. See close-ups.

MEASUREMENT: 6.5” from handle to handle, 3.5” tall.  

CONDITION: It is in very good estate condition, it is tarnished, but I will leave patina for the new owner to polish (or not), bowl is slightly out of round.
