This exquisite antique clock is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship and design. Made in the United Kingdom , John Bradley Webster  of Shrewsbury  1779 -1829  or William Harley of Shrewsbury , as the name on the face is blurred .

The  clock boasts a weight-driven movement with striking bell, housed in a beautiful mahogany frame with oak finish. The painted dial and moving pendulum add to the charm of this longcase or grandfather clock, which features a wind-up mechanism and a variety of impressive features, including a calendar, chimes, and 12-hour display. This clock is the perfect addition to any room, from the foyer to the dining room, and is sure to impress collectors and enthusiasts alike. Despite its age, this clock is in excellent working order -but does require setting up correctly .and has been carefully preserved over the years,The centre piece of the door is a penny with Rule Britania.The top has three brass spikes on and a rose .
 
This clock was bought  by  my great grandfather who was born in 1806.Who at the age of 17 joined the 53rd of Foot -Shropshire Light Infantry  and served with the 53rd of Foot from 1829 -1845.On leaving the Army he joined the Lancashire Police.The bottom pic is with the clock.
