My credentials:
I became interested in electronics in the early 1960s. Taking apart old tube gear as a child was fascinating. By the time I was 12 years old I built a crystal radio and an 8 transistor radio (Graymark 512). By the time I was 18 I had built many projects and worked on analog and digital circuits, but the best project I built was a 60 watt stereo amplifier.
Instead of regular high school, I went to a four year vocational school where I majored in electronics.
At 19, I started work as an electronics tech for a defense contractor.
In my 20s I began restoring vintage tube radios.
At 30 years old my oldest son and I began studying for our Amateur Radio License. I hold an Extra class license.
I also hold an FCC General Radio Operator License with Radar Endorsement.
Worked as a radio tech at a Land Mobile Radio Shop. After a few years became Service Manager.
A couple of my vintage projects have been published in the Antique Wireless Association Journal and Electric Radio Magazine.
I examine and test all parts, tubes and equipment to my full ability. If there's any question upon the receipt of an item I sold, I will do what it takes to make it right.
I've started to sell on Ebay this last year to supplement my retirement.
