This is a print copy of an original etching Waves Crashing by Canadian artist Anne Wilson, of British Columbia.

It has the look of cyanotype art in muted blues contrasted against a white background.

We bought this print 20 years ago during a visit to Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

We framed it up and it has been hanging on a dining room wall ever since.

But times change and a renovation and redecoration is underway so all the pictures and photographs have come down while we do a sort out.

This one, along with two others by the same artist, listed on our site, has happy memories and is simply too good to just discard.

It is framed in an old style distressed-gold-coloured frame – the sort of frames popular in home decor shops a couple of decades back.

The image is mounted inside the frame.

The frame measures approx 12x10 inches in size and the insert is approx 7x5 inches.

The frame has some signs of its age and past handling – see photos – but the image could easily be transferred to a new frame if desired.

The frame once had a stand on the back for standing it up independently on a shelf but that was removed so it could hang flat against a wall.
