WAKMANN is Breitling's brand for the U.S. market, and its U.S. subsidiary in New York, [Breitling USA], sold Breitling and WAKMANN brand watches.
The item in this listing is a 1960s WAKMANN three-register chronograph equipped with Venus' famous cal.178.
The cal.178, a famous masterpiece by Venus, is a historical gem of manual-winding chronographs, which is also used in Breitling Navitimer and many other high-end wristwatches of the time.
The movement is engraved with the Breitling company code WOG.
The case and caseback are scratched, but there are no noticeable scratches on the windshield. The dial has some deterioration, but there are no significant scratches and the watch is in good original condition.
